 I might have done the same thing, knowing nothing about lions. I would figure they could smell me and know I’m there anyway, but maybe if I make noise it would scare them off.  Granted, there may be scenarios in which there’s no good solution, just hope you don’t get mauled, in which case the best thing to do is say “Okay, guess I’m not going camping in Africa then.” Is that a common reaction?  I’ve had other people tell me on reddit that they had the same experience, so apparently we’re not alone. My dreams were crazy and they were also really vivid. One of the girls on the trip I was on woke up crying one morning because she had a dream where she brutally murdered her whole family and then got arrested. Fortunately I didn’t have any nightmares.  The way the camera was adjusting the shots, I believe it could be fake.
