I never knew this was a thing, so I always thought pink applesauce had food coloring in it or something. Granted, it was in the store. But still. Ours were pretty tart. Maybe like a particularly sharp Granny Smith or pink lady. I like my apples like that so it was fine to eat them raw, but they were def better cooked.
